Neocon, I don't disagree that anti-semitism abounded in the 30's, but we basically hated all immigrants in that era. Economic downturns bring our the worst in us :-( What I disagree with is your saying our failure to take in refugees before the Germans began killing places any blame on us. You can feel bad about something without being guilty. The people planning the process, manning the camps, those involved in the process and turning over their neighbors - they are the guilty ones. John
