Is it still possible for a microcap to do well in this stale market? Consider the case of NTES. During 2001 and early 2002 it traded in the 65 cent range. Now this internet portal company has risen as high as $13.65 as it is projected to break into the black in the near future. A look at its 2 year chart is eye-opening. And for a good read, check out the NTES message board at Yahoo's stock section. Read messages 400-600 and see how the fears and doubts gave way to a run on the stock. I don't hold any shares of this stock but found it to be proof that a microcap could still score a touchdown, even in 2002.
Something to think about as we head into 2003.
