I believe EXXON began exploring as far back as 1972.

Faris, come on. This is the former USSR. We were still in Viet Nam fighting a war against a client state of the Soviet state. You can't seriously believe the US would allow Exxon back then to go there, much less the communist inviting them.
Armmand Hammer did business with Lenin and Stalin early in the revolution, but Oxy could never get in there to drill oil until the early '90's. I'm sorry if you feel that negative or whatever, but I think you need to step back on that claim. You maybe confusing Iran border to the Caspian Sea which in 72 was a strong allied to the US and their were plenty of listening post on the Iranian borders. BTW, I know Shell did some exploration in that region of Iran and sour gas was found plenty of times. Monday you need to ask this question; Is this a known area for H2S?

I'd like for you to show me just one piece of news about 31 gravity oil other than a Chatroom clip. All my DD has yet to verify this.
