I agree. What I have said re desperation, poverty etc is that they are the reason why the Arab population in general support the terrorists. In order to fight terrorism effectively, the sources of this support need to be addressed. They are kept in this perpetual state of strife by their repressive dictators. The dictators in turn divert the blame to the west. The west has no interest in keeping these people down. The west wants and needs more democratic, middle class consumers around the globe to feed on. The lies fed to the a-rab populace by their dictators are just that...lies and islamic cult orientated programing. These poor a-rabs are saturated with it from birth. These backward countries must become true democracies. Don't you see? The root of the problem is the sultans and princes. Any government that attaches itself to royalty and religion is doomed to oppress the masses to maintain their demonic power.
