Americans have been eating them for a long time, of course, but then again there is also concern that Americans' health problems, especially their monstrous percentage of obesity, might in some way be related to the food they eat.

Oh come on now Zonder... Hybrids have been grown by all countries for decades now... Practically a must for all small farmers if they are going to maximize crop yield on their small plots (such as France).

Organic farming might be gaining popularity for the wealthy and more discerning tastes, but for commercial production, those who can achieve the highest yields to acreage ratios will dominate the markets.. And that means GMF's...

Unless, of course, one can start a slanderous rumour campaign that diminishes acceptance of the product... (like they did with using cobalt irradiation to kill bacteria in packaged foods).

Btw, I'm seen some mighty "stout" Europeans too... Especially the Germans with all the fat laden meat they eat...

Americans are fat because they are becoming so technological that they don't exercize (or work) nearly as hard as they once did...
