If Isra'El did not possess nuclear weapons others in the region would not be arming themselves for bear in tandem, IMHO. Maybe if Israel hadn't been attacked REPEATEDLY, in an attempt to utterly destroy it, they wouldn't need nuclear weapons... Now would they??
