Well Kumar... I use my own version of Drake's Equation:

1.3 Billion muslims.. 40% of them under the age of 18 (as per National Geographic last year) equating to 520 million falling under that age demographic.

If only 1% of those 520 million have militant tendencies, and/or a willingness to commit violence on behalf of waging "Jihad", that will result in 5.2 million muslims holding such a belief..
