*****News Flash***** Monday, July 22, 1996 Investor's Business Daily Microsoft Corporation will report better-than-expected earnings for its fiscal fourth quarter amid strong sales of its Windows NT networking software product, analyst said. Microsoft, which will report results Monday after U.S. markets close, is one of the few software companies that will report higher earnings in the traditionally slow summer months. "We're expecting Microsoft to come ahead of the forecasts," said Marshall Senk, an analyst at Robertson, Stephens & Company in San Francisco. "The momentum from Windows NT continues to pick up each quarter." "We just broke through a billion dollars in that (business) this year," Bill Gates said this week. Fourth-quarter revenue is expected to rise to about $2.2 billion from $1.62 billion. Wall Street expects Microsoft to earn 84 cents a share, based on a recent survey of 19 analysts by Zacks Investment Research. Any comments on where the stock price will go from here on Monday, Tuesday, and beyond? I am currently holding August 125 & October 125 Call Options. Thanks, Jeff |
