Put me down for $7.50 and I'm not counting on any splits.
We've dodged a lot of bullets in 2002; I don't think we'll
be so lucky in 2003. It's not the end of the world, but
looking at California's deficit, for example, I think we're
seeing the beginning of a long miserable decade. Government
is taking a very hungry look at what's left of my assets.
I certainly won't be paying capital gains taxes for awhile.
Inflation is the only escape.
Hopefully the demand for Cisco equipment will edge upwards
with all the new digital content being shuffled around out
there, especially if the copyright and protection issues
get sorted out. But I don't see any great increases in
profitability ahead.
