Faith-based program a dishonest sham. Just got back from Houston with its big popular churches and my parents are very religious. Their Minister who's one of the biggest in Texas told them he's not only against Bush's plan but it stinks of pay-offs to the religious right and other GOP operatives and will hinder not help their ongoing programs to help the poor. They dont need or want any tax-payer money. Bushies also want to use it to bribe black church leaders not to be democrats anymore. That's all it's about. It's not about helping the poor at all. And it probably wont even survive in court. Why couldn't Bin Lauden's favorite mosque receive funding? Or Wackos from Waco? Or Scientologists? Makes no sense. The big question is who decides who gets the money. The RNC?
