Hack has been wrong about Iraq from the outset; no news there.

I did think his remark concerning Carter made some sense. If he could get Carter to go over and buy some time, that would not be a bad idea. Of course, the concern would be that Carter would cut some kind of asinine deal like the one he made before.

I think his remarks BEG the question, "WHAT HAPPENED TO OUR MILITARY OVER THE LAST TEN YEARS THAT WE ARE UNABLE TO MANAGE WARS IN THESE TWO THEATERS AT ONE TIME?". Before Clinton, we would have had no difficulty managing that situation. I would certainly hope Hack is wrong.

According to Rumsfeld, who should be the more knowledgeable individual, this does not present a problem. If it does, it is one more reason we can NEVER elect another liberal president.
