Boomer-sans,

Bev, did you get any sleep between 4 a.m. and 7 a.m.?

Does anyone remember Lord Buckley? I had an album which I loaned to someone who never returned it, but Mrs. Tomato got me the same album as a CD. Just can't beat "The Nazz."

Smells of the 60's...Incense. Sandalwood, jasmine, pachouli(?)...
On smells that rings some bells (how's that for a rhyming mixed metaphor?)is cat shit. A lot of people had cats and either they were too stoned to change the kitty litter frequently enough, or there was some other reason, but I associate that smell with the 60s... Cigarette smoke smells that we don't get anymore in California evoke the 60s, since nobody smokes here anymore, and those who do are pariahs. On the semi-rare occasions when I'm walking behind someone smoking a cigarette, it is almost instant nostalgia, since it's kind of rare now. Pipe smoke is a nostalgia producer, too.
Balkan Sobranie, Sail, Amphora, and those awful flavored pipe tobaccos like Cherry Blend.

Switching gears, fondue. There's a place near campus here called Fondue Fred's. Does anyone have fondue parties anymore?
