Terry >I assume that the laughter is coming from someone already rich---at least in family, friends, and life happiness

Is there any other kind of real wealth? To have a lot of money is a mirage, a big number, but what does it really do for one? As far as I am concerned, I live quietly, have sufficient for my needs, and a bit over, so I imagine, as you say, I am already wealthy. But, as Alice (in Wonderland) said, "If you want to stay where you are you have to run as fast as you can." That's why I'm out here placing bets on the gold price.

>I do think that this yet to be bubble

Like in 1980. But that took a few years to develop. Then, the gold price went from about $40 to $850 in three+ years. For what it's worth, I would be surprised to see a 20+ times gain happening this time --- although it is conceivable --- in a hundred years time!
