The Bushies want the price of oil sky-high. That way they can get financial and political leverage to drill (and pollute) our wilderness and shorelines. It also gives them more power, cash and clout in general of course. And makes the prizes like Iraq's oil-fields all the more worth fighting for. Oil is the root of a lot of evil and greed these days and with the oil team in the White House it's to the max these days. So far the public hasn't complained, but they'd better start to. The foxes are in the hen house.
