John Kerry returned home from Vietnam, went on TV, and accused his government of being criminals. (You're likely to see the footage, over and over, during the primary campaigns.) He now offers to lead that government. If he gets the nomination in 2004, 60+% of the nation will say "No thanks."... Anyone who thinks the Army would have ever let "The Chairman's Kid" get in harm's way in Vietnam knows nothing at all about the Army, or politics. Algore would have been in far more danger buried deep in the Pentagon, risking daily paper cuts, than he was on his pink satin pillow in Saigon. At least George Bush flew aircraft in the reserves. They never would have let Gore into a SIMULATOR. He might have twisted an ankle climbing back out...
