Larry Dudash,

Hello again. Wanted to respond to Thomas Busillo but couldn't find his
email address.

He asked about how many pieces MU is able to get per 8" wafer. Last
conference call ( you can look it up on Motley fool archives) they said
they were migrating from a potential of 450 per wafer to 600 per wafer
(650 running SDRAM).

I assume this "migration" is going from .35 to .30 microns. They said
they will be completely at .30 microns by the second ha.

This would square with the "potential 30 million pieces a month". MU
has 15,500 wafer starts a week (last quarter) which is about 63 thousand
a month. 63,000 times 450 equals appros 30 million pieces.

Last quarter they sold about 21 million pieces a month (511 / 8.25)
where 8.25 = asp. and 511 = revenues. They added 45 million (is that
cost or market value?) to inventory. So total production was between
22.5 and 24 million a month. This should give you some idea of yields.
Above number assumes of course that all production is DRAM.

If you could post some of this in response to your and T. Busillo's
questions, I would greatly appreciate it.

Incidentally Www.aice.com has a great page concerning prices and memory
module prices. They update it almost every day.

Sincerely
B. Ballard
