Bush Sr. attacked Kuwait when Saddam invaded it. Don't you remember? 90% approval ratings. Lost big-time to Clinton two years later. And Bush sr. had much better reasons and coalition partners in his Iraq attack than Bush Jr. does now. MUCH better. Day and night. Also Bush Sr. had the Saudis paying for everything. We'll have to foot the bill ourselves in the middle of a long recessionary period of ballooning federal debt.
