Ashcroft I have mixed feelings about. I suspect his religious right bias might make him too much of a crusader but also do not mind his toughness on finding terrorists inside the US. We need to do that. if he succeeding? Hardb to tell. I'm sure there's a better man for the job out there but Nixon's Mitchell or Reagan's Ed Meese weren't any better. And they were both indicted weren't they? Few people remember how many Reaganite cabinet members were indicted. Bushies have gotten away with all kinds of stuff that would normally land them in hot water. especially Cheney.
