There is also the issue of who possesses these weapons. It is one thing for Iraq, Iran, Syria, or NK to have it -- it is a totally different thing if Great Britain wants to have it. We should not allow any nation that is a dictatorship to develop new nuclear weapons; and we should do all we can to stop it.

"We should not allow".......that's how dictators and people with God complexes think. No one died and made us king of the world.

Besides, whether we like it or not, we can not control every exchange of nuclear info or materials between the nations of the world. China has been selling ICBMs and nuclear opponents to Libya and other nations for years now. The Ukraine is also selling nuclear materials. Do you intend we fight everyone of these nations to contain nuclear armament? I guarantee we will be broke and beaten in ten years.

There is just no way in hell we can manage all that. Therefore, we have no choice but to rely on the fact that there is a strong human imperative to live; that our defense systems are a strong enough deterrent; that the possibility of Armageddon will restrain leaders from starting a nuclear war.

Bush isn't attacking NK because he's afraid NK is going to nuke someone. He's not attacking because we can't afford it on many different levels.......Mr. Rumsfield's comments to the contrary. Bush has his hands full and has other things to contend with like a sick economy.

So I suggest you back off from your imperial "we will not allow" and start looking for alternatives to war.
