Sounds like admiration to me. What it is: is more of the typical say-one-thing-and-do-the-opposite that Saddam is so good at. He's good at it, yes, but that's not admiration. He's a despicable figure in history, like Hitler and Stalin. You know perfectly well the fate of the scientists which material knowledge who choose to go "out of country" for their interview.

The German's did the same thing after WW1 when they built pocket battleships that met the stupid limitations put on them by the allies but were more deadly than ever. My grandfather visited one off the Texas coast before WWII.

I thought it was pretty clever of Iraq to agree to allowing scientists to be interviewed out of country, but say it was a "personal choice".
