Yes, our military is spread too thin and is in too many places. The world policeman strategy has to be reviewed. In this regard I partially agree with Pat Buchanon. The Bushie chickenhawks are going overboard. As a result our special forces never get a rest and are spread so thin they cannot fight two engagements at a time anymore. Remember Bush lying about Clinton-Gore having a division of the army unfit for duty? Well he's gotten our military into even worse shape with his non-stop engagements. Rather we should be concentrating on real threats and taking them out with surgical strikes and attacks with clear aims. The military right now is not sure what the F Bush wants to do in Iraq. Or whether or not they'll be used. They're piling up troops and expending massive energy without a clear agenda. Unless of course Bush plans to invade no matter what, which may be the case. If so, he won't tell us. Many mixed signals. Is that strategic or confused? Hard to tell right now, but the Special Forces are exhausted. No rest between Afghanistan and Iraq.
