I think you greatly underestimate yourself on this Tekboy...

The equation is rather simple.. They got caught with their hands in the cookie jar and are responding with a typical "bully & bluster" response...

I say we hand them a surreptitous olive branch, in exchange for private concessions and public (or private) halting of their nuclear program and establishment of a verification mechanism.

I'd be interested in knowing what influence Bejing has in Pyongyang nowadays, and what it would take for them to confront Kim Jong Il over this major escalation on the peninsula..

Surely they don't wish to see an all-out war break out again...
