Besides, its easy for someone pushing on their 5th decade to talk this way but I'd rather here from someone who has just turned 18. They may not share your sense of glory as they march off to be killed.

I have a 19 year old who has a much, much deeper understanding of foreign policy than you do. And he will tell you that he will go in a minute if needed. In fact, he has suggested that he would defer his college work to go fight if there is a war. I have no doubt there are hundreds of thousands of others just like him, who understand the importance of fighting for our freedom and ways of life.

He has less tolerance for liberals than I do, however. Thinks they're stupid. <g>...
