is this a recent article? I don't see the year, it seems like it is recent because wcom is mentioned however. man from the National Credit Council who was talking about the number of Americans who were borrowing off their credit cards to buy stocks. It's a record percentage now. This can't be accurate. Trading volume is 1/3 of peak. And there is no way that I know of to prove this, but my sense is that individuals are completely gone and the remaining 1/3 that are left are the institutions who have always been in the mkt. So, for individual investing, trading volume is probably down more like 90%. Lizzie
