I don't think it was a very big bubble. Gold had been above $380 for two years and reaching $400. It was perfectly normal for stocks with gold in the ground to sell at $100 or so per ounce.

It will happen again and stocks with 3M ounces of gold in the ground will sell easily for $300M when gold is at $400.

At the moment they are selling for $30-$60/oz depending on specifics. When gold is $400 they will sell for $90-$120 on the same specifics. Its mathematical.
