Zeus, thanks for the reply.

I have used the movie mode to document my kids first time of ice skates and downhill
skis. I take 5 to 15 second takes and splice them together as a film using software
on my wife's Sony VAIO desktop. The results are outstanding as long as you don't mind
watching the final video montage on Apple QuickTime or Windows media player. I also learned
that one of the newer Fuji's can shoot 30 fps at VGA resolution (640 x 480). The option of
shooting right to a memory card is powerful, IMHO, for the exact reasons you mention...

*easy to store and review
*easy to access randomly
*no need for a tangle of cables to copy to PC
*images can be archived on same medium as still images

I think there are more good things to come!
