Okay Lorne, maybe I was being pedantic. One just needs to be careful of name calling, even of despised enemies. Especially if one is presuming them to be stupid, crazy etc. It might turn out that they are not at all stupid or crazy. They just want to win. Underestimating an enemy as stupid, zombies who are crazy to boot might lead [as it already did] to being beaten some more.

A few years ago, I sat in a passenger seat in a big jet in the USA with the cockpit door open two steps in front of me. I could have stood up, walked in and had control of the thing. It seemed insane for them to leave access so easy. They couldn't have any idea on my state of mind and as turned out to be the case, some passengers did, on 9 September 2001, in fact take exactly the action I considered as very tempting for such people.

I of course didn't point out to the crew that I could take such an action, because aircrew are not notably bright, but have an authoritarian streak, so they would probably have mistaken my warnings as being a threat and would have arrested me as being a madman. Bear in mind that my description of aircrew is a stereotype and I am not racist against aircrew. Heck, some of my best friends are aircrew and even several of my family. Perhaps I would have struck it lucky and the aircrew would have realized how dangerous the situation was. But I doubt it.

The most popular stupid expression, constantly trundled out after disaster is "We will find out what went wrong and why and make sure it never happens again", when the danger was staring them in the face all along. Shutting the cockpit door after the horse has bolted is not too bright.

I do from time to time warn authorities and those who should do something about a problem that there is a problem and what they should do to avoid a disaster. I think all my warnings have been ignored. So I find it easier to protect myself, and leave the mess to happen, in a kind of fatalistic acceptance that I am living in a monkey cage and there are no bars between me and the monkeys. Worse, I am also part monkey, but at least I care about me, whereas they don't.

For example, I have given excellent suggestions here on World Government. But it raises a yawn and the monkeys rush off to load their weapons of mass destruction, full of adrenaline and stupidity, self-righteousness, greed, envy and cult-think.
