Thread:
I've just discovered this thread, of course it is 3 days after I've just purchased a Nikon Coolpix 4300. I had a 1.3 megapixel Olympus (2 years old), but thought it time to move up to 4 megapixels. My old one was great for e-mailing photos and for 4 x 6 prints - but no bigger. I bought the camera, a 128 meg card, a compact flash reader ( the Olympus used smart media) and an extra battery. I use Microsoft Picture It for simple tasks and Photoshop Elements for more sophisticated stuff. My computer is running Winows 98 second edition, Pentium 3, 128 megs of ram, 700mhz ( I'm planning on upgrading in a few months). . . Any thoughts out there on what I've bought and what I may need in terms of hardware. Any ideas for creative use of the new camera?
