Not a bad idea, John. However ...

... can we in America really use our own election process as an above mark benchmark? We now have a president who got fewer votes than his opponent and one who literally got the presidency from a Supreme Court which stopped a legitimate State of Florida recount.

... can we in America take pride that only half vote in our national elections; one third in statewide elections and about 16 percent vote in our municipal and town elections? Seems there are many other nations on earth able to post better stats than that.

... can we really take pride in the fact that one party is nearly the same as the other party, especially when it comes to dollar signs. Heck, this past election we put 43 millionaires into the U.S. Congress. What kind of standard is that?

And there's more, too much more. I wish we had a better standard to present in exemplary manner to the rest of the world. Unfortunately, there's too much 'fix' goin' on!
