Absolutely agree. Two months a go,I gave a friend, who had been suffering from stomach problems for three years, a copy of some of the
h-pylori postings obtained from this thread. He took them to his doctor, who read them and then gave him a blank look. Tested him for h-pylori anyway using some other method. Only this week another friend was rushed off to hospital, and was discovered to have h-pylori. The medicines prescribed were the same old "feel better" medicines. I am giving him the Abbott and Proctor & Gamble info and
he is going back to have a chat with the doctor. I told him "You
don't have to put up with that stuff for more than 2 weeks."
Months ago I basically said what you just pointed out. The HMOs are
our best ally in this stock. I am surprised that insurance companies
are not addressing the issue of the costs of the traditional methods
of dealing with this condition. Perhaps they are and I do not know.
Dammit, I am going to give a couple a call and enquire.
Just hope the AMA doesn't send a hit man after me.
