When will they stop calling it a recovery??

When housing declines in Q2-2003 along w. the stock market, that'll be the end of artificial props.

Extraordinary gov't expenditures will match reduction in tax revenues for 2003 (with something like an $800 Billion deficit!) but if the economy is indeed hollowing out we'll see more declines in employment & personal income until the cheerleading stops working.

The only thing that would subdue dissent would be terrorism or terrorism warnings, and even then not for long.

Anybody foresee "stagflation" again?

The Carter years seemed surreal.
