canoe man-
i am a sailor, former commercial pilot and navigator extrodinaire (drove a taxi one summer <g>). i don't know celestial navigation but have never been lost. i'm embarking on my first bluewater sail in 69 days from pensacola to south florida as navigator, meteorologist, humorist, bartender, graveyard shift helmsman and ship's log writer. i'll have charts, logs, a compass, a watch, 3 or 4 GPS's, a pair of binoculars, a PFD, a bag of cheeseburgers and three other heaving rio grande sailors with me. greg is the poet laureate of the gulf crossing. if he's inspired enough to write one, i'll post it here.
this sail will be a piece of cake... stummy cake.
i hear that it's easier to swim in salt water.
i'm not female but i respect and am fond of them.
