"If we are not to expect high standards from the US, where can we expect it from?"

Certainly not from the poor, misunderstood ME.

"Excuse me, mister."

No.

"If some Americans who have never been in the Middle East their whole lives can pass judgement on that part of the world on this website, I am more than qualified to have an opinion on America, a land I have visited numerous times, whose language I am fluent in, and whose culture I have more than a bit of insight into."

Insight? Please shine on.... One would think that your massive amount of insight and qualifications to opine might grant you some level of objectivity. You constantly demonstrate none. Your opinions begin and end with the premise that the US or US policy is the root of almost every problem.

When you are not using that premise to validate terrorism and hatred you manufacture other excuses for both (cheering in the streets for 9/11 being "no big deal"...http://www.siliconinvestor.com/readmsg.aspx?msgid=18386166).

You are about as objective as Jerry Falwell and certainly more predictable.

BTW, weren't you going "bye"?
