GST: The FED fear is service deflation starts as well as manufacturing deflation. I look @ United as one blow but its not the 1st. All (most anyway) of those Andersen and Enron employees have had to take pay cuts. Ditto most in IT services. If it wasn't for insurance inflation in wages [health care & workers comp] wage cost increases would have been down 30% of the total increase (what the increase was 3% so only 2% flows to the worker, pre taxes).
