Uninteresting old news, personal attack, and irrelevant drivel. At best this article describes the difficulties SGI has had to overcome to come to this point of recovery. However, there seems to be malicious personal attack vs. Ed McCracken and T.J. as the subtext. In addition there are factual innaccuracies or ommission.

One example is "(Sun) persuaded Steve Jobs to use" sun workstations for rendering "Toy Story". Two points (at least) should have been mentioned. Sun "persuaded" Pixar by GIVING THE MACHINES TO THEM. Second, even having given the machines away, Sun couldn't convince Pixar to use their machines for the animation, this was all done on SGI's that Pixar paid hard cash for.

But I guess this is what you'd expect from this author, he's the one that wrote the "Gee Whiz" article a quarter before our (now past) seven Q slide. He's late to the party and wrong again!
