fair enough ..

Long term H&S pattern on the SPX is still not filled .. target=332 SPX cash ..

I guess that I could play with yelling "buy puts" and "it's a top" etc. until we get there. I could then publicly pat myself on the back for all the good calls on the way down.

Then there's the demographic stuff ..

Long range, we're in a multi decade long bear market.

The boomers will actually expect to retire and get money when there are retired.

That kind of thing works out when there is five people working for every one that is retired .. but not when there is 1.5 persons retired for every one working. Of course that number assumes that persons in government actually are working.

If you break it down to counting the people that produce the goods and services, then you have about 1 person working for every 7.

How long can that last?

Soooooo .. that takes us out for about the next fifty years.

I'm not even sure that we've even hit the iceburg yet .. we may just be seeing the tip of it, about to collide.
