Out goes the old year
in comes the next,

let's give it a cheer
and hope it's not hexed.

We shall pray it's no chore
to enjoy some profit,

for we've tried poor
and that don't get it.

If the Bear remain in the cave
and we see the run of the Bull,

we'll all try to behave
as our accounts become full.

we'll spend our wealth
NOT on some silly toy,

But on world health,
world peace and joy.
