You are correct I have not received a response from Barrick.

It is interesting to note that their stock price finished the year lower than they started it. They ended the year at $15.40 while starting it at $15.90.

Noting that in the same period gold went from $278.35 to $347.20, it strikes me as extremely strange that some stockholder law suit is not launched against the management of this company.

What in the world is going on with this company when they have touted their invincible derivatives program on the last 5 years. Why exactly are they losing money in an up market while they made money in a down market. Are they really a gold company? Or are they a hedge operation. If they are a hedging operation then they should be punished for misrepresentation.

I hope someone puts them on the hot seat and makes them own up to what they have been doing and why they have been doing it.

Just look at that 2002 gold chart and the Barrick stock chart. Barrick owes us an explanation.
