The publisher, Knopf, apparently still stands by the author and his apparent fraud. hnn.us It was Northwestern Law Prof Lindgren that did Bellesiles in. Lindgren was fair and relentless. Bellesiles' response was to accuse Lindgren of faking emails. Henry Ford is quoted as saying "History is bunk". As I child I thought that stupid. But history usually is bunk when told by the Left. Heck, FDR and JFK both had "court historians" surely not to assure the truth. JFK's AM Schlesinger JR must be "shocked" to see released what was always rumored and is now fact - that JFK was the sickest and weakest prz in history and dependent on mind altering drugs.
