you mean regular IRA to Roth IRA -- as far as I know, I can't covert my 401k to anything while I continue working. A gold fund is a good idea though -- I could do that or a foreign bond fund. Nice thing about the gold is -- no brokerage records for it -- I know there is not as much appreciation potential, though.
