The roofs seem to be lasting about 10-15 years around here. It's amazing how much extensive repair is being done by roofers, window replacements, deckers, and so on to the homes in the neighborhood that have sold in the last twenty-four months. Several of the homes have had roof repairs twice in the past five years, especially if they have turned over owners.

As for state budgets, most expenditures reside in the education and medicaid. States and the federal government are cutting medicaid, but appear reluctant to pitch a battle with the teachers' union.
