Right. That is also why the Fed cannot seem to get the economy going again despite low interest rates. We can reflate -- it is not impossible. But the forces of deflation have been underestimated. The reflation can bring new problems of its own -- I am not clear in my own mind if the Fed can reflate, but I do beleive that AG is truly worried about deflation. Lord knows, they are worried about it in Japan. Prices are steady for most things in China, but I am shocked at the growing purchasing power of many people here. I am somewhat hopeful that China's emergence will prove to be a rising tide that lifts all boats -- but right now that sounds too much like wishful thinking.
