Of course it was not torture, it was murder. Those two are quite different things.

The people and organizations wanted to cause death and injury.

That's what terrorists do, unfortunately.

I think you are trying to suggest that because what these captives ALLEGEDLY did (i.e. killed your compatriots), they should be tortured.

There is a part of the Sharia called "Kisas" that advises retaliation in kind to the guilty - next-in-kin have the right to demand this. Have you given up on western law and are you now defending Sharia, KLP? Because as far as I know, such a practice does not exist in western law. Here, the state has to ALWAYS act in a correct manner, which includes never ever torturing captives.
