Uranium Power Corporation: Deep Drilling Program Changing Rock Formations Indicate Top of Primary Seismic Zone Reached

CALGARY, Alberta--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 2, 2003 - Athabasca Oil Prospect, Fort McMurray Alberta

Uranium Power Corporation (OTCBB:URMP)(DAX:URP) is pleased to report that as of 7:30 a.m. Mountain Standard Time today, drilling at the AOC 7-32 well is proceeding at 2212 meters (7257 feet). Commencing below 2145 meters (7037 feet) drilling encountered a change in rock type from predominately granite to an increasing sandstone quartz environment the significance of which will be revealed as drilling continues. The Company additionally observed continuous gas shows from 2166 meters to 2208 meters. These events suggest the program may have reached the beginning of the seismic reflection that is the principal objective of the drilling operation. Seismic interpretation indicates a number of seismic reflections over several hundred meters below this depth. Noted Consulting geologist Warren Hunt "We are very encouraged. Drilling progress has been quite rapid and indicative of reservoir conditions which seismic interpretation suggests will increase as the program continues to depth." The Company further reports concurrent with drill log interpretation that it plans to conduct production testing on two priority zones located at 1651-1661 meters and 2165-2175 meters respectively.

Drilling will continue to depth.

The Company shall continue to release further information on receipt of the same.
