Just curious, why don't you mention any of Israel's ties to the Nazis? You aren't by chance trying to paint a false picture that Arabs as a group loved Nazi Germany and hated Jews?

Why didn't you post them and provide logical linkage as to how they impacted Israel's foreign policy??

All I can say is that there is plenty of documentation noting the influence upon Arab regimes by Nazis who fled to the middle east and sought shelter there. I don't know of many Nazis who would have sought shelter in Israel.

As for CIA support of a Baathist coup in Iraq, overthrowing the British supported King Faisal, there is some evidence for it, according to this BBC link:

bbc.co.uk

But that doesn't mean it's necessary that we permit it to remain in power. Otherwise, wouldn't we be seeking to perpetuate Hussein's reign right now??

At that time it was a matter of Marxist totalitarianism, or right wing authoritarianism (which in Iraq turned into totalitarianism). That was generally known as the cold war and we did participate in advancing the political careers of some particularly nasty thugs.

But now it's time for a change since Marxism is really not much of a threat. It's time for the next phase, which is at least some minimal form of democratization..
