I am sorry but there can be no excuse to abandon the very civilization that the west is trying to protect.

Zonder... I understand how you feel on this topic. But let me suggest that WWII (and every other war) would never have been won had to tied our hands and fought by civilized rules.

You must fight on a level of brutality that will break the spirit of your opponent. That's why we engaged in fire bombings, nuclear weapons, napalm, flamethrowers, assassinations, and in many cases torture, in order to achieve victory... Because only with victory could we realistically recloak ourselves in our civilized self-deception..
