Maurice hasn't been crotchety with me..albeit a bit weird, but crotchety......NEVER. I couldn't wait for the camera either and purchased the MOT T720. I was told that Motorola was testing a camera for this phone, and that it is still in the development stages. I noticed that there is a T720i available through T-Mobile. commerce.motorola.com Don't know how that one is working out, but it doesn't matter as I am a VZ customer. From what I hear, the technology has a ways to go. In the mean time I will continue to carry both the phone and the digital camera. Funny...... you're "pretty pleased with the service from Verizon" but at the same time "Can't really recommend it." Hmmmmmmmm OK! ;) M
