Ken- Thanks for posting the Yankee Group W. Europe handset and subscriber forecast thru 2007. Indeed, very interesting charts. The most interesting from my perspective are the WCDMA lines vs the other technologies. Total handset sales growth averages approx 3% CAGR while WCDMA increases from 1.3M in ’03 to 74M in ’07 (54% of the handset sales in ’07). Total subscribers grow from 308M in ’02 to 347M in ’07, with WCDMA at 123M or 35% of the total in ’07. Qualcomm earning royalties on 54% of the handset sales and hopefully a fair share of the chipsets as well in 2007 in the W. European market is sure a lot better than zero, zipo today.
