Depends what "near the beach" means to you.
Just because "beach" is in the name of the town doesn't mean it's that close.

Humidity is a factor in FL, especially for westerners. Closer to the beach the better though. Negative ions or something. Bugs I wouldn't worry about.

Gold valley looks nice but where is that near?
