To the ghosts who once posted here:

This is a copy of a letter I wrote to one of Individual Investor's analysts/authors. This will eventually be one of the hottest stocks around.

Subject: Vitech--where are the buyers?

It is hard to believe that there are not more buyers in light of yesterday's report. Does anyone have any comments? Did Barron's do enough damage to keep a good looking quarterly from having any impact? Thanks in advance.

Tobin:

The stock did react well initially to the earnings surprise, and at one point returned to the $16 level. The Barron's article definitely chased away many people, but the St. Laurent brothers are successful entreprenuers, who have done very well in the past. I think they know enough people to keep themselves afloat, but it might be hard getting people back into the stock. Especially those people who don't know the St. Laurents, nor have seen the operations. I think the stock will eventually go higher again as the Barron's article wastes away. Also remember that the earnings announced this week did not include the acquisition. The acquisition is huge for Vitech, and will probably double earnings expectations from where they are now. I doubt it will be the publicity that gets this thing going again, but performance will continue to shine. These guys told me they are in it for the money. Also by having a nice 8% presence in Brazil, they could make a good acquisition target themselves, or move into other Latin American countries. Later, -AL
